I had this dream probably a month or two ago. It was really short and not much was going on since it was just seeing a scene as the sun was either setting or rising.
What I saw was a landscape lined with natural structures similar to standing stones. No manmade structures were present. The rock was orange-red in color, and they were kind of tall (but not enormous at all). They definitely felt very ANCIENT, too. There was some sort of mystical quality about them.
They looked kind of similar to the picture below:
They didn't look like that exactly, but close enough. The edges were really curvy. The coloring of them in my dream was definitely more rusty, and they weren't all quite as big.
These rock formations - minus their size - actually remind me of another dream that I had years ago.

His Back To Me
I have no idea when I had this dream; 2010 or earlier. This one I completely brushed off originally.
I don't dream of Patrick all that often, but in this dream he actually came as himself; which I had asked him to do a while back. In the dream I just walked up to him. He was wearing a fancy velvet jerkin, just like I saw him wear when I was a child, only it was royal blue this time. His back was to me and I just came up behind him and pressed my cheek to his back; sort of like a little hug. I was smiling and felt so serene and happy. VERY serene and happy... until I woke up and realized that his back was to me, as if he were shunning me. I have a few theories on that, but I’ll not babble about them here.

Those Darn Heffalumps
Had some crazy dreams last night. To anyone else they would sound silly, but to me the dreamer they were uncomfortable, stressful, and not pleasant at all. I'm really tired of hardly ever having nice dreams anymore.
Here's a quick list of just a few of them:
- Being stalked inside some grocery store. Funny thing is the stalker was the actor Dominic Monaghan. (No clue why he'd make an appearance, but believe me when I say in this dream he was one CREEPY individual).
- For no logical reason, my hair was cut a lot shorter and it was covered in bright hair dyes; purple, green, red, etc. Sounds funny, but to my dream-self it was absolutely terrifying.
- Here's a CREEPY part. I was driving on some dirt road leading towards a race track. Beneath the dirt we were driving over were all these cats. They were trapped beneath the ground, and you could see the outline of them just swarming under the wheels of the cars beneath the ground. I was trying so hard not to run over them, but at the same time I felt that these cats were doing this on purpose. They weren't friendly and thrived on playing on people's emotions. I can't even begin to express how CREEPY it was to just see the outline of a whole swarm of cats just oscillating under dirt and mud. It's like they weren't even regular cats.
- Started having a lucid dream this morning, which I never really have. What surprised me was that it was a type of dream I used to have ALL THE TIME. That is, dreams where I'm reading out loud scenes from a book I was writing.
Unfortunately, I had just begun reading the second sentence when the phone rang and jolted me out of my dream. Needless to say, I was ticked off because I hardly ever have lucid dreams, or just pleasant one's for that matter.

Birdie Visitor
- For a nice change I actually had a good dream last night. I dreamed that me and my parents were sitting out on our land - (I'm pretty sure that's where it was) - on a sunny, beautiful day. We're watching a bird nearby, and then suddenly I notice that the bird has landed on my father's lap.
Needless to say, I am shocked but my parents aren't reacting the way I am. It just seemed normal to them, although to my thinking it was very out of the ordinary because:
1. It's a wild animal unafraid of people.
2. My father is not an animal lover.
Next, the bird flies over to me and lands on my arm. Wanting to have evidence of such an awesome moment, I get out the camera to capture it for eternity. (Duh! When am I ever not wanting to use the camera). Unfortunately, the bird was afraid of the camera so it flew off.
I keep trying to look this dream up in a dream dictionary, but so far not one of them mention what it means when a bird comes to you.
I'm really hoping this was a good omen, but deep down I think it might have just been a random dream. I only say this because yesterday I kept thinking of my little canary, Westley, that I used to have. To this day I still have nightmares about him (which is always how I grieve for my pets, and this goes on for several years), but last night was the first time that it wasn't such a bad dream. It wasn't great, but it was definitely more positive.

Oak Tree
Had kind of a strange dream last night.
There was this HUGE oak tree, and lightning struck it. A very large chunk was taken out of the tree, and fire and sparks were shooting from it. Knowing that tree was just outside my brother’s bedroom window (at our old house actually), I ran up the stairs and was screaming his name in terror - over and over again - so that he’d wake up. I was terrified the tree was going to crash through his window, which was right next to his bed where he was sleeping.
The next thing I know, this oak which was struck by lightning wasn’t the tree outside our old house in Pearland. It was actually inside this really massive house. The house was just built around the tree, and surrounding the tree was a glass domed ceiling. The paint on the walls and trim was white.
I was really upset about the destruction of such a beautiful tree, and I kept taking pictures of it with my camera. All the time that I was either taking pictures or just walking through the house, I was terrified of it crashing down. Even turning on the ceiling fan, or when walking next to the tree, the ground felt unstable. It really felt to me like whatever mechanics was holding up that dead tree was very, very fragile.
Later on I saw my cat, Wendy, hanging onto the tree with her claws. Naturally, I was terrified of the tree crashing down with her clinging to it but fortunately I was able to safely pry her off.
At one point, I was walking next to the tree with some woman. I told her how sad I was that the tree had to be cut down now since it was dead and unsafe to be standing. But now…. inside this decaying tree, was a closet. I asked the lady if she thought it was at all possible that we could rescue the tree by just building up the walls around it to support it. I don’t remember her answer, but I think she said there was no hope of rescuing the tree.
And I almost forgot this, but earlier in the dream there were people gathered ‘round. I told them that I wanted to do something special (a tribute if you will) for this oak, but that it couldn’t be something ordinary and common like planting a new one in it’s place. I reminded them that our lives were spared by this tree still standing, despite being dead now. It could easily have fallen on us after it was struck by that lightning bolt. It’s like I understood that this oak had lived for a looong time, and now that that time was over we shouldn’t take it’s long life for granted.
But now to the end of the dream. At the end I was walking with somebody, and we both saw a little raccoon behind glass doors. It was like some storage shed or the garden section at some store. The raccoon was clearly frightened and hiding from something. I urged it to leave the room and follow me, but it took A LOT of coaxing. Finally, still frightened to death, it left it’s hiding place to come with me.
As soon as that raccoon left safety, it was attacked by a bear. And I mean it was attacked viciously. I just knew this innocent, frightened raccoon was sent to it’s death BY ME! I felt so guilty and felt so much compassion for this poor creature being attacked. I just knew it was going to die, but then out of the blue the bear gave up. It would growl, but stopped attacking. I remember the raccoon looking back at the bear, and actually fussing at it. The last thing I remember is feeling so relieved that the raccoon was going to be okay.
So ya see... once again here’s a dream I have where an innocent animal is involved. I dream about animals in distress all the time - and sometimes my niece and nephew - and I’m really growing tired of it.
I do think I know what this dream is about, by the way.

Old Man and Owl
I had this dream last week. I was in my old bedroom in Pearland, and inside my closet was a small door leading to the attic. (Not just in the dream, but in real life). Well, in this dream I noticed that someone left that door open. I was really angry because I was afraid of mice scurrying from the attic and into the house.
After voicing this aloud, I was a little embarrassed because I saw an old man exiting the attic. (I knew it was him that left the door open, and I didn't want him upset about my being mad at his carelessness). But while I watched this strange old man, a large owl flew towards him as he was leaving the attic. (And the man might have been carrying a lantern. I'm not positive about that though).
I have NO IDEA what this dream could possibly mean.

More Heffalumps
Had three bad dreams last night; all about innocent animals of course. (I think it's safe to say that when I do have nightmares there's either a gun involved, or animals I'm trying to rescue).
Really, it was horrible. Two of them involved other people's animals, one of which was SEVERELY neglected and just seconds away from death. It's owner was this crazy woman. She was sitting alone outside with a dog in her lap. She was crying, but just a few yards away was another dog of hers. It was a really tiny gray dog lying in the grass next to a brick wall. It was HOT outside, and I saw it trying to scoot on it's back toward this large building for help. I won't go into gruesome detail, but it was severely dehydrated with kidney failure and had had a stroke. I knew it had only seconds to live, and once inside with the dog I was trying to get a vet to help. Everyone turned their backs on it!!!!
Then I dreamed about my own sweet Wendy Kitty again. I was with my family at some wildlife place. Some of it was indoors, and some outdoors. There were all types of wild animals there, but mainly there were a lot of lions. My cat ran off, and my niece and I tried finding her. At first, we found another gray cat but it wasn't my Wendy. My sister (very unsuccessfully) tried comforting me by saying that at least Wendy died free and in nature!
Yeah, like that made me feel better. :/
Finally, I found Wendy hunched inside one of the rooms, in a little corner behind this HUGE lion. (There were other wild animals all around as well. They were all packed together in this 'pit' of sorts; like an empty swimming pool). I don't know why, but I had the feeling that this lion thought of Wendy as it's own baby. Not caring about the lion attacking me, I scooped up Wendy who was very frightened. I was thrilled that she was alive, but she had a deep scar along her face right next to her right eye. I was so upset because it was such a deep cut, but knew she was going to be okay.
And my last dream was just weird. It definitely had silly elements to it, but it was still an unpleasant dream. I was with my sister and her family, and my niece was playing with this big gray dog. A greyhound or something. (I'm sensing a theme here. All these animals last night were gray). Anyway, my niece had discovered what Acupuncture was, and she decided to try it out ON THE DOG! She placed a needle just above it's eye!
At first, the dog didn't even flinch. It wasn't affected in the slightest. But then my niece suddenly turned into this horrible kid (totally unlike her) because she slapped her hand hard against the needle! Of course, the dog was in pain now and I was LIVID. I mean I was so angry and so upset with her, and demanded that we leave my sister's house and go home this very second. Then immediately after that, I was upset with my whole family because they acted like I was nuts and overreacting. They didn't see what the big deal was, and totally brushed me off.
Eventually, my niece started crying. She said I was yelling at her because I didn't love her anymore. That hurt my feelings like mad, so now I was balling and telling her that wasn't true. I even remember telling her that I was always going to be alone, and that she and her brother had no idea how much I loved them. That when it came right down to it, they were my life.
Anyway, I've had it with these dreams!!! (And also creepy is that I woke this morning with a song from BARNEY in my head. Lol! No joke. It was that annoying library song that my niece and nephew loved when they were little. Barney the purple dinosaur is scary, no?)
Oh! And get this. Remember how I mentioned my sister having a dream where our grandmother came to her? In this dream, my sister saw our grandma's old house in Houston. She was in the tiny breakfast area, and leading out from there was a door to another room. (In reality, it was a very DARK laundry room with concrete floors. My sister and I were terrified of that room when we were kids). But in this dream this other room was a bedroom, and my sister felt the most evil, evil, EVIL feeling radiating from inside. I'm talking a BAD vibe. Demonic even. My grandma was in distress, and saying to my sister over and over again... "I don't know what to do! Tell me what to do!"
Well, it doesn't stop there because now she found out that on that same night HER HUSBAND HAD THE EXACT SAME DREAM! (And anything paranormal related scares this guy. Being married to my sister, he always tells her to keep these things to herself). And not only that, but in this dream our grandma said there was a woman's body buried beneath the house where the kitchen table was.
Okay, enough about nightmares.
This next dream is a pretty funny one that my sister had:
All summer my sister and her husband have been trying to get rid of this faint mildewy smell upstairs. They tried EVERYTHING to get rid of it. Even when Mom and I were at their house months ago, my BIL was working in the attic hoping to get rid of the smell.
Well, fast forward to last week. They were desperate b/c the smell would come and go. They wanted to get rid of it permanently, so my BIL removed and replaced all the insulation up in the attic near that bathroom. Now, this is in 100+ degree weather mind you, and up in a hot attic with no air circulation.
So he exhausts himself in the heat doing all that hard work. It's finally done, and the smell is still there. The next night my sister has a dream. Her spirit guide came to her and almost laughed. She told my sister that it's nothing but THE TUB MAT in the bathroom!
The next morning my sister checked, and yep... there was one spot on the mat that mildewed. She threw it out, and now the smell is gone.
Her husband is so ticked off. Lol! Poor guy. He's so mad they didn't tell her this BEFORE he replaced all that insulation.

When trying to sleep the other night, I had the image of a man inside my head. He wore really old clothing; something from the 1500's or earlier. I really don't know.

Father and Son
I believe I had this dream August 1st. I've been having strange dreams lately, but this one stuck with me the most.
It seemed pretty hokey and was short and simple. It was a lot like watching a movie on a small screen. It was just seeing a family sitting outside during a picnic of sorts. They were inside a big open field, and the trees formed a line in the distance. The people I saw were a father (he was sitting in a chair), an adult son (leaning over the father as he spoke to him), and a lady. The woman was dressed like a tavern wench or something, and was on the man's right hand side, serving him a drink from a pitcher.
I received the feeling she might not have been the man's wife, but was the mother to the other male with them. And while the guy's parents weren't married, they all considered themselves each other's real family. (As in the guy's wife had nothing to do with them. Marrying her was just politics, etc.)
There was another son as well, but he wasn't with them. (He was off rescuing some lady actually. Lol!) Anyway, the premise of the dream was just a father-son moment. The father went through his whole life, secretly thinking that his sons didn't really love him as he did them.
When I woke up from the dream, all I could recall was the son telling his father that he did have a bond with him, despite hardly ever seeing him while growing up. It's all a blur, but the father - royalty of some sort - really just considered himself an artist. The son explained how he visited places like Egypt, and while there saw some murals that his father did, and how proud he was to have seen them.
Like I said, the dream is a blur but it's been soooo very long since I've had any interesting dreams... (well, it was interesting to me b/c these people felt kind of real; esp the father)... that I had to type it up. Having this dream, I almost felt like a voyeur listening in on a secret conversation.
Update: This is strange, and is probably only coincidence, but I was just told that we have an ancestor (male) that had 5 children, but only two sons survived. He worked for royals, but was also an artist. So far we haven't seen that he ever visited Egypt, but there is a grave there - inside a cave in Tralee, Ireland - of an Egyptian lady of royal blood.

Thanks, Wendy Kitty
Not sure this is anything, but this morning I started having this dream. All I remember is sitting in a car with a man. It was dark, and I could only see our silhouettes. We were hugging each other. I felt like the guy was Patrick, but I'll never know now because...
My Cat Woke Me Up!

Gerry with kids?
So I finally had a Gerry dream last night, and what was it? How about seeing him watching HIS KIDS doing a play for school or something. Gerry was older - his gray hair he didn't even try covering up - and wearing a gray suit. The guy was so excited about seeing his kids that he filmed them while lying down on the actual stage. Lol! He had either twin or triplet boys, and they all had very dark straight hair.

Spirit Voices in my Room
I almost didn't write this one down b/c I think part of this dream is a little silly.
Last night I dreamed I was living at our old house. It was nighttime, and in my room I kept hearing spirits talking. I couldn't make out what they were saying, but I was afraid. I kept my light on and almost didn't even sleep in my room. I was so scared I actually wanted to wake my parents, but I didn't.
I hear my mother's cell phone ring. I knew it was my brother b/c the ringtone was the one Mom uses for him; the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' theme song.
I was so glad someone else in the house was awake, and next thing I know Mom - still on the phone speaking to my brother - stops outside my bedroom. She's standing by the door, and without me even telling her anything she nods and tells me that she already knows. She tells me she saw a spirit, and that he was...
Okay, be prepared to laugh at what's coming.
She told me she saw him giving me a massage and hugging me. Lol!
Yes, I know. The massage sounds silly but in my dream.... after she told me that I was petrified out of my mind. I was so frightened that my voice even sounded terrified. I told her I didn't care who they were, but that I wanted them out. I wanted them to leave me alone and never come back.
And yes, in the dream I knew this spirit was Patrick. I couldn't see him, but I knew without a doubt that's who Mom was talking about.
So here I've now had TWO dreams where I'm terrified of him; that is, this latest dream and - a long time ago - that 'tent dream' with the battle going on and he finds me hiding from him inside the tent.
In my dreams with him, either I'm madly in love with the guy or petrified out of my mind.
And I know I shouldn't be frightened, as he is a loving spirit. Seeing him when I was just a kid is proof enough. Smoothing the bedcovers at a child's feet while they supposedly slept isn't exactly a malicious gesture. And in my waking life, I'm not afraid of him.
I'm just really confused about this love him/terrified of him ordeal in my dreams.
-------------------------------
A Wedding
I've been tossing this dream to the wayside, as I'm apt to do a lot. It was a dream I had a few weeks ago. I never mentioned it before because -
1). It was a dream related to something I heard the night before.
2). The obvious skepticism.
I'm not feeling well tonight, so I'll stick to the main points here:
- The night before, when trying to fall asleep I heard - and I heard this a couple times - a male voice say "gonna get married."
I ignored it, thinking either it must have just rhymed with that or my ears were trying to make sense of the sounds around me. (What "Ghost Hunters" call matrixing).
- But then arrives the dream that I had that night.
In short, I was in my upstairs bathroom. I was going to be married that day. I remember speaking to my Mom, then having her leave so I could take a bath and get ready for the wedding. In the dream I really didn't want to marry this guy... whoever the heck he was, as I received absolutely no impression of him... but kept thinking to myself that I wanted to see Patrick at least one more time. I wanted to marry HIM.
Immediately after that thought, he was in the room with me. He and I held each other, and I was terrified that he would leave at any second. I grabbed him and held on to him as if he were my lifeline. I mean, in that moment it was like he was all that mattered. I cannot stress enough how petrified I was that he would leave, but.... he didn't.
So that's why I'm finally writing this dream down; all because of THE FEELINGS. Feelings which are nothing like me in my daily life at all. What I mean is the whole "I can't live without this man" scenario.
That is soooo not like me, but in this dream - and others with him - those STRONG feelings are always there and are bombarding me full force. (Also, he never spoke in the dream. I didn't even see his face).
But then I remember hearing that voice saying "gonna get married" before I fell asleep that night. WHY did I hear that? And if I did, is that why I dreamed I was getting married? Or was it inevitable that I would dream that? Was that really Patrick visiting me, and was it his way of trying to shed light on the mystery?
Now can ya see why it's all so confusing?
-------------------------------
Woken Up
I've been ignoring this for days now, but the other morning I was woken with the feeling that someone was tickling the bottom of my foot beneath the covers.
Then a couple days later I remembered what I was dreaming about when that happened. Only, I'm not sure it was really a dream per se. It was more like seeing an image. In my mind's eye I saw a brown rabbit standing on it's hind legs inside tall grasses. It was tall, brown grass.
